STEP 1: Lot Reservation
Reserve your desired lot within our community.
STEP 2: Choose Home Design
Work together with our Sales Representative to choose your home design and customize
the floor plan using standard features and optional upgrades.
STEP 3: Agreement of Purchase and Sale
Complete Agreement of Purchase and Sale with our Sales
Representative and provide 1st
deposit. Our agreements are conditional for 7-business days so you can obtain financing
and lawyer approval.
STEP 4: Firming Up
Once your conditional period has ended, the Agreement of Purchase and Sale is firmed
up. At this time you will provide your final deposit we will provide you with an
Ashton Ridge Homeowner Manual and book you an appointment at our Design Gallery.
STEP 5: Plan Review
A thorough examination of the Construction Drawings including any revisions that
have been made will take place to ensure accuracy. Also a review of the electrical
plan will take place at which time you will select cable and phone locations and
add any electrical upgrades you may be interested in. In most cases, your Plan Review
will take place at our Design Gallery on the same day as Colour Selections.
STEP 6: Colour Selections
You will complete your selections process at our Design Gallery with assistance
from our Colours Coordinator. Here you will choose the exterior (if applicable)
and interior finishes of your home. Exterior selections include brick, stone, siding,
shingles, and aluminum capping and eaves. Interior selections include flooring,
cabinetry, countertops and railings among other items.
STEP 7: Construction of your Home Commences!
Our expert construction team will take over and begin building your home based on
the home design, floor plans, upgrades and colour selections you have chosen.
STEP 8: Pre-Drywall Inspection
As the construction of your new home has progressed through the framing and rough
mechanical stages an Ashton Ridge Homes Representative will point out features of
our construction methods and answer questions you may have. As well, this is an
opportunity to ensure the proper installations of any upgrades you may have chosen
for your home.
STEP 9: Pre-Delivery Inspection
The PDI represents one of your first opportunities to view your new home in its
completed state. An Ashton Ridge Homes Representative will guide you through a comprehensive
inspection of your home to ensure no items are damaged, incomplete or missing. As
well, the operating systems in your home, such as ventilation, plumbing and heating
will be demonstrated.
STEP 10: Closing Day!
An Ashton Ridge Representative will meet you and provide you with keys to
your new home.
